Re Agenda Twentieth League Assembly

The attached Agenda for the Assembly1 which opens on the 11th September next, was circulated last May. There is a second edition of the Agenda due in some weeks but it will probably not be very different from the attached. Not one of the twenty-three items on this year's Agenda has any but a technical importance. There are no live political questions listed. As compared, even with last year's agenda, the programme before the Twentieth Assembly lacks interest. Nearly all the items listed have appeared before and many of them (such as item 3, Disarmament) are simply included on principle.

Probably the most interesting subject up for discussion will be that relating to the Rural Life Conference (Item 17) in which we hope to participate next October. The Assembly will, however, scarcely do more than refer that question to its Second Commission where no action will be taken, as none is called for.
