Diarmuid O’Hegarty to Eoin MacNeill (London)

DUBLIN, 31 October 1923

A Chara,

I am desired by the President to acknowledge and thank you for your letter of 30th instant1 and to say that he has shown it to the other members of the Executive Council and they all agree you should return as soon as possible.

I would like to add that the President is not at all too well since his brother's2 death and that he has been induced to agree to go away for a short holiday. This, in the opinion of the other members, would make your presence here all the more desirable.

Mise, le meas,
