Your 268.1 You should contact prominent individual or two amongst the sixty and suggest that answer be sent to Monitor2 pointing out that granting of ports to England involves Ireland in the war and entails temporary if not ultimate loss of independence. For Ireland choice is between neutrality and loss of independence. The un-American character of this pressure on Ireland should be stressed as also the defenceless position of Ireland in the immediate war area compared with the position of America with all her defence resources three thousand miles away. Who are the two Bishops? Perhaps you should contact them both.
