Our strict adherence to the policy of neutrality impresses Germans exceedingly, though I must add that many of them outside official circles openly express surprise that Great Britain 'tolerates' our attitude.

There is little to report under this heading [Press and Propaganda], as the German press maintained its policy of reserve in affairs affecting Ireland. Even our General Election was let pass without much comment.
