We have lost a great opportunity for propaganda and publicity by not having a man on the spot in Geneva during the League of Nations meeting. I have been trying to do what I can among the delegates from here but it is only possible to do very little. I tried to induce my noble namesake to do a little among the delegates but he said he could not undertake it without risk of having his permit de sejour revoked.1 It is a pity our friend Seoirse did not go.2 It was a unique opportunity of showing up the hypocrisy of Lord R.[obert] Cecil and his compatriots, especially when they came out with their tearful appeal for the tortured Armenians.3
