Code telegram from Joseph P. Walshe to William Warnock (Berlin)
(No. 87) (Personal)

DUBLIN, 27 May 1943

Francis Stuart has been making broadcasts to this country discussing the forthcoming elections and advising people to vote against Fine Gael.1 Such broadcasts are an unwarrantable interference in our internal affairs and are apt to prove most embarrassing and harmful to the Government. Please act immediately to ensure that nothing of the kind will be broadcast in future.

1 A general election was to be held on 23 June 1943.
