With reference to your minute (No. 122/11) of the 15th July1 on the question of the grant to Dr. Otto Strasser of a visa to enable him to come to Ireland, I have to inform you that if application for such a visa is made to the Embassy it should be refused.
For your information, Dr. Strasser wrote direct to the Taoiseach in October 1945 requesting that he be allowed to enter Ireland. He had in mind at that time that he would be able to earn his living here by lecturing. In June 1946 however he was informed that it was not possible to accede to his request.2
