With reference to Mr. Berry’s semi-official minute of the 1st June to Mr. Morrissey of this Department, regarding Herr Otto Strasser,1 I am directed by the Minister for External Affairs to state that he is definitely of opinion that the admission of this alien into this country in any circumstances would be prejudicial to the good relations that exist between Ireland and Germany.
The Minister would accordingly be glad if the Minister for Justice would be so good as to take the necessary steps to ensure that Herr Strasser is not given permission to land in this country.
