Please accept my warmest thanks for the luncheon which you gave in my honour and for the many courtesies which you showed me on my visit to the United Nations¹ Building. I am doubly grateful to you for your friendly and helpful advice regarding the nature of Ireland’s delegation to the United Nations.

I hope that Ireland will play a full and fruitful part in your great Organisation and that God will bless your noble work for world peace.
