Appointment of Papal Nuncio to the Irish Free State
In the absence of the Minister for External Affairs, the President communicated to the Council a telegram which had been received from the Irish Free State Minister at the Vatican, Mr Bewley, intimating that Monsignore Paschal Robinson had been appointed Papal Nuncio to the Irish Free State and asking, if the appointment were acceptable to the Government, that the agrément should be communicated as soon as possible.
The appointment of Monsignore Robinson as Nuncio was approved and the Minister for External Affairs authorised to advise the Holy See accordingly.
