Dublin, 26 July 1932

1. League of Nations Council and Assembly 1932

The President reported that in the ordinary course of rotation the presidency of the 68th and 69th sessions of the Council of the League of Nations, September 1932/January 1933, and ipso facto the presidency of the opening meeting of the assembly of the 13th session of the League devolved on the Irish Free State.

It was decided

  1. that the Irish Free State should accept the presidency in question and
  2. that President de Valera as Minister for External Affairs should attend the League as a delegate of the Irish Free State on this occasion.
