Letter from William J. B. Macaulay to Joseph P. Walshe (Dublin)
(M 10/37)

Rome, 16 September 1937

I shall be glad to be informed what attitude I am to adopt towards 'the Chargé d'Affaires of Spain' who has announced to me his reception by the Cardinal Secretary of State and his presentation of his Letter of Credence.

I do not see how I can acknowledge this communication at all in view of our relations with the Valencia Government.

[signed] W.J.B. Macaulay
