NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT, 1938
The Taoiseach adverted to a Question to be addressed to him in the Dáil on Wednesday, 23rd March, 1938, by Deputy Cosgrave1, asking whether he was yet in a position to make a statement to the Dáil on the negotiations with the British Government. He stated that he proposed to reply on the following lines:
'I regret that I am not in a position to make a statement at present. We are endeavouring to bring the negotiations to a conclusion as quickly as possible, and I can assure the Deputy that I will take the earliest opportunity to make a statement to the Dáil.'
The proposed reply was approved.
