Joseph P. Walshe (Dublin) (No. 74)

BERLIN, 25 July 1941

While I have no specific information, I hear British air raids have caused much damage in Cologne, Aachen and Muenster and on north-west coast.

Man-in-street had expected more rapid advance in West. Returned wounded tell of fierce fighting and savage methods of Russians. It is said, however, that Russia will have irretrievably weakened within a month.
