Extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Cabinet
'International Civil Aviation Conference, 1944'

DUBLIN, 13 October 1944

Reference was made to the decision taken on 6th October, 1944,1 with regard to participation in the International Civil Aviation Conference to take place in the United States beginning 1st November, 1944, and it was decided that Mr. Robert Brennan, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Washington, should be a member of the delegation, already approved, representing this country at the Conference.

The Taoiseach, Minister for External Affairs, also brought forward a draft memorandum for the delegation.2 It was agreed that the first three paragraphs of the draft should be deleted and that such further amendments should be made as the Taoiseach might think proper in the light of the views expressed by Ministers.
