Consideration was given to a memorandum dated 10 February, 1947, submitted by the Minister for Finance, on the subject of Relief in Europe.1 It was decided that the total provision in 1947-8 for the purposes of relief in Europe, including provision in respect of outstanding allocations, should be £1,500,000.
The Minister for External Affairs undertook to consider the question of arranging for the issue of a White Paper on the subject of the steps taken for the alleviation of distress in Europe.
