Letter from Frederick H. Boland to Seán Murphy (Paris)
(305/14/3)

Dublin, 30 April 1948

The Minister has decided that the Partition pamphlet by David O'Neill1 may still be used for publicity purposes. Another short pamphlet on Partition is being prepared and will, it is hoped, be available shortly.

Those of the Missions which have Grace O'Brien's pamphlet 'L'Irlande et la Guerre',2 may continue to supply it in response to requests for material about this country in French.

'Without Fanfares'3 by Dorothy Macardle and, of course, Mr. de Valera's speeches, should be withdrawn from circulation.

1 David O'Neill, The Partition of Ireland: How and Why it was Accomplished (Dublin, 1946).

2 Grace O'Brien, L'Irlande et la Guerre (Brussels, 1946).

3 Dorothy Macardle, Without Fanfares: Some Reflections on the Republic of Éire (Dublin, 1946).
