Dear Lord Rugby,
I should be glad if you would kindly transmit the following to Mr. Attlee: 'Thank you for your message. I regret that I myself will not be able to take advantage of your invitation but if it is agreeable to you, my colleagues, Mr. MacBride and Mr. McGilligan will go over on Sunday and lunch at Chequers as you suggest.'
