Security
On 16th August, 1950, the Committee decided to recommend to the Taoiseach that the Department of Justice, in consultation with any other Departments concerned, should examine, and make recommendations to their Minister on, matters concerning security in time of major emergency, including the control of undesirable aliens and counteracting the activities of foreign agents. The Taoiseach approved this recommendation, and the Committee have been informed that all necessary attention is being given by the Department of Justice, in consultation with the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána, to such questions and that co-ordination with the Department of Defence will be maintained.
